The Single European market is designed to enable the free movement of gas appliances.
Consequently, the test and homologation procedures previously in force have been replaced by the European Certification CE mark.

 

 

As an accredited laboratory the GWI is empowered to carry out the necessary examinations for certification and issue the related test reports.

Testing electronic components is also one of our services. We assist manufacturers in demonstrating compliance with European Standards so that they are able to market their appliances in all Member States of the European Union. 

 

 

A successful test laboratory needs to back up its testing procedures with an adequate quality assurance system. The test laboratory at the Gaswärme-Institut has therefore set up a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The system covers the complete spectrum of operations from processing an incoming order to the documentation of test results.
